We Enable Makers to Make Things!
You can help by joining our makerspace and supporting the community.
Our mission is to transform lives by providing the tools, education, and support needed to make amazing things.
Make Nashville is a volunteer-led organization that was founded in 2012 to be the focal point of the maker movement in the region and became a registered federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2015. We provide the gathering place, the community, training, tools, and opportunity for everyone to experience the transformative experience of making.
We want to help more people make, and to help makers make more.
We’ve been putting on the Nashville Mini Maker Faire since 2013, sharing STEAM education and our passion for making with as many as 6,000 people. For the first four years we held the Faire at the Adventure Science Center. Since 2017 we have partnered with our new host, Vanderbilt University’s Wond’ry. This year the Faire will be held on October 6th & 7th and will feature Bot Battles, PowerWheels Exhibitions, and Cosplay & Props Competition along with over a hundred maker exhibits, workshops, demonstrations, and performances! Visit Nashvillemakerfaire.com for more information, to participate as a maker, and to become a sponsor.
In mid 2016, after years of planning, fundraising, and the efforts of dozens of volunteers we opened Nashville’s first all-ages non-profit makerspace and as of March 2019 we moved into a new larger facility! This over 12,000 square foot facility enables us to host workshops, builds, events, and provide members with the space and equipment to create some truly amazing things. In the last year, we have seen inspiring art installations, amazing concerts, innovative inventions, incredible feats of science and technology, market-changing entrepreneurial prototypes, skill-strengthening projects, crazy and fun maker builds, and awesome feats of education in the space. We hope you will join us! Become a member today!
