Electronic Costume Workshop

at Emma Bistro
11 Lea Ave, Nashville, TN

You’ve heard about the Arduino, but did you know that they make a version of it that you can sew into your clothing and even handwash? The haunting season is upon us! Help your costume to stand out!

In this workshop, you have two options. One option is to add elements to a costume that you already have. The other option is to create a headband that has ears, antennae or horns on it.

We’ll be using the Arduino Gemma and Arduino NeoPixels. What that means is that you’ll be working with a teeny tiny chip designed for clothing AND some super bright LED lights that can change to ANY color. (And they don’t have to all be the same color at once either!) Your kit contains 4 lights. If you need more than that, we’ll have a few extra that you can purchase individually at the workshop. You can control up to 500 lights with one single chip. Just *IMAGINE* the possibilities!

This workshop is intended for Adult ghouls and youth ghouls that are ages 12 and above. You will need to bring a laptop along so that you can edit the code to control your lights.
